ONE ROOM. TWO LIARS. NO WAY OUT…
Susanna Fenton has a secret. Fourteen years ago she left her identity behind, reinventing herself as a counsellor and starting a new life. It was the only way to keep her daughter safe.
But everything changes when Adam Geraghty walks into her office. She’s never met this young man before – so why does she feel like she knows him?
Then Adam starts to tell her about a girl. A girl he wants to hurt.
A story that got to the main focus quite quickly- this made it very easy to get into, it didn’t leave me in suspense initially but then wow I was on tenterhooks from a certain part. If you love stories with drama, suspense and mysteries , this is the book for you !!
I had never heard of Simon Lelic before reading this (hangs head in shame) but can definitely say I will be reading more books by him, he is a very clever writer. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, another mystery cropped up and would leave me biting my nails again. I couldn’t stop reading this.
As a mother myself, I really felt for Susanna and felt like I was going through the motions with her. I really wanted it all to be a bad dream for her. The character Adam was very mysterious, I really didn’t like him.
I loved this book and would love to see it as drama on tv.
Thanks to Hannah Ludbrook from Penguin for sending me this ARC.
